Active AgriScience Inc was founded in 2013 and is a leading provider of technologically advanced seed treatments, foliar plant nutrition and nitrogen management products that help improve yield potential and decrease environmental impact. Our products and intellectual property benefit farmers throughout Australia, Europe and North America.

Active AgriScience works with US and Canadian universities including the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, and the University of British Columbia to develop and test our products.

Active AgriScience head office and manufacturing facilities are located in Saskatoon, SK with its research laboratories and greenhouse space on the University of British Columbia campus. In the USA, Active AgriScience products are manufactured under license by Hydrite Chemical Company of Brookfield, WI.

Why Choose US?

While no fertilizer can fully guarantee a yield advantage, Active AgriScience does stand behind our products with a Guarantee of Quality. We use third parties to conduct product analyses and research trials. Our Guarantee of Quality is backed by an 15-month free replacement warranty*, subject to proper storage, mixing, and application procedures are being followed.

With variables such as soil conditions, weather, pests, diseases, tank mix partners, applications rates, and errors in mixing and application, we encourage all prospective customers to run trials of our products before broad acreage adoption. Please visit our Trial Protocol page to learn more.
*Improper use and/or storage, as per label instructions, voids the warranty. Product must be stored out of direct sun light within a temperature range of 5 – 35°C. Warranty is limited to the cost of the product and may be satisfied by free replacement of defective product, a credit note or refund (at the discretion of Active AgriScience Inc).

Our Process

Active AgriScience product research is conducted by selected Canadian and American Universities combined with independent third-party research groups. This process verifies efficacy resulting in innovative products that allows growers to improve production, quality and profits while reducing the impact on the environment.

Idea Generation

All of our products begin with a desire to solve a grower’s problem, or to more significantly improve production and yield.

Idea Prioritization

Our scientists are experts in the plant growth cycle at a molecular level and understand precisely how various bio-chemical elements are absorbed and utilized by different parts of the plant.

Conception

This knowledge sparks targeted ideas to solve growers’ cultivation problems.

Rapid Prototyping

These ideas lead to hypotheses that are tested using observation, measurement, experimentation, formulation, testing, and modification.

Multi-year Field Trials

Potential products are then subject to rigorous research and thorough efficacy testing to ensure expected field performance. From this process, our team makes extraordinary new discoveries several of which hold international patents.

Nitrogen Stabilizers

Active AgriScience patented nitrogen stabilization technology inhibits both ammonia volatilization, nitrification and denitrification, potentially reducing nitrogen loss from applied fertilizer by 95%.

Our Team

We are a qualified team of leaders, technicians, chemists and biologists. We work closely together in an open-space environment to ensure clear communication and a smooth production process.
